SBC Announces Baseball/Softball TV Schedule

NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference has announced its Sun Belt Network baseball and softball television schedules which will include eight baseball and two softball broadcasts during the 2010 seasons.

Three baseball games will be broadcast during April and four will be broadcast during May, including the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Championship. The Sun Belt Network will feature two games for last year’s regular season and tournament champion Middle Tennessee. 23rd-ranked WKU, an NCAA tournament team in 2009, will also have two games broadcast in 2010 with a match-up against rival Middle Tennessee scheduled for May 22nd.

FIU, picked third by the coaches this year will have two games broadcast in 2010 beginning with an April 10th game against Middle Tennessee. The Panthers will then travel to Jonesboro on May 8th for a game against Arkansas State.

Troy, which was picked to finish fourth in the SBC this season by the coaches, will also have two home games broadcast by the Sun Belt Network. Troy will host UALR on April 3rd, and then host WKU on May 1st.

The Sun Belt Network schedule will once again culminate with the conference’s baseball tournament championship on May 29th. The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will be played at Reese Smith Jr. Field on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn. from May 26-29, 2010.

For the Sun Belt Network softball schedule Louisiana-Lafayette will be featured at Troy on April 24th and the Sun Belt Softball Championship game will also air live May 15th on the Sun Belt Network.
