North Texas Learns NCAA Men's Basketball Destination

DENTON, Texas - The waiting is over and the North Texas men's basketball team has an opponent in the NCAA Tournament. The Mean Green is a No. 15 seed will face the No. 2 seed Kansas State in Oklahoma City on Thursday. North Texas is in the West Region and will put their 11-game winning streak on the line against the Wildcats.

The Mean Green is 24-8 on the year and champions of the Sun Belt Conference. Kansas State is coming off a loss in the Big 12 championship to Kansas on Saturday and is 26-7 on the year.

North Texas is making its second appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the last four years and is facing Kansas State for only the third time in the series history.

The game time will be set on Monday afternoon.
