NEW ORLEANS - For the second time in four seasons, the Sun Belt Conference will send two teams to the NCAA Women's Basketball Championships as both UALR and Middle Tennessee were selected to the field of 64 announced Monday night.

Middle Tennessee will travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., for the NCAA Tournament First and Second Rounds as a No. 10 seed in the Dayton Region, setting up a meeting with No. 7 seed Mississippi State at approximately 1:30 p.m. Central Sunday. The Blue Raiders are making their 13th overall appearance in the field, which was announced live on ESPN with the network doing a live look-in on the team.

The Blue Raiders enter the tournament with a 25-5 record and No. 24 ranking in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll and No. 27 in the Associated Press Poll, their second-straight week being listed among the Top 25. Middle Tennessee earned an entry into the 64-team field after garnering the Sun Belt's automatic bid.

For the first-time in school history, UALR received an at-large bid to the 2010 NCAA Tournament as a No. 11 seed facing No. 6 seed Georgia Tech Sunday at 6:16 p.m. in Norman, Okla.  The game will be televised on ESPN 2.

The Trojans enter the game 26-6 after clinching the Sun Belt West Division title, the team's first-ever No. 1 seed, and making it to the Sun Belt Conference title game losing in overtime to Middle Tennessee. This is the first-ever berth to the NCAA tournament for the women's program.
