The Sun Belt Conference has 19 championship events ranging from cross country to the R + L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. The bowl game will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 featuring the Sun Belt Conference champion and a selection from Conference USA. It is held annually in the New Orleans Superdome and is televised on ESPN.

Another marquee event at the Sun Belt is the league’s men’s and women’s basketball tournament. This year’s tournament will take place March 6-9 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Thousands of fans annually travel to the event that showcases the Sun Belt’s talent.
