Offensive Player of the Week

Dwight Dasher (Middle Tennessee, Jr., QB)

Dasher led the Blue Raider offensive attack with 178 rushing yards, two shy of his career high, to increase his season total to 703 on the campaign, along with 360 total yards of offense. The 703 overall yards on the ground in 2009 set a single-season school standard, surpassing the previous mark by 109 yards and he still has at least three games remaining. It was the second-straight 100-yard game for the signal-caller and third of his career, one shy of the career record in school history for quarterbacks. Dasher registered a career-best three touchdown runs on the afternoon, two of which came from long distance as he went 70 yards and 67 yards virtually untouched during the Blue Raiders' first drives of the first and second quarters, respectively. He later added a one-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for MT's first score of the second half. The junior added a pair of touchdown passes to move into the top 10 on the single-season list with 13. He now has 24 for his career, ranking in solo possession of 10th on that list. Dasher completed his longest pass for 30 yards to running back D.D. Kyles when it appeared he would be sacked, but instead shoveled a pass to his backfield mate near midfield for the long gain. Overall, Dasher became the first player in Middle Tennessee history to throw for more than 2,000 yards and rush for more than 500 yards in a single season.

Defensive Player of the Week

Greg James (Louisiana-Monroe, Sr., DB)
ULM senior safety Greg James made ULM and Sun Belt Conference history on Saturday intercepting North Texas' Riley Dodge three times in ULM's dominating 33-6 victory. James' interceptions, the first in 15 games, gave him 16 for his career to set the all-time career records at ULM and for the Sun Belt Conference. James also moved back into sole possession of first place among active players in the NCAA for career interceptions. James and the rest of the ULM defense held the Sun Belt's top scoring offense and rushing offense well below its season marks. UNT came into the game averaging 30.8 points and 197.9 yards rushing - the Warhawks held UNT to 79 yards rushing, which included limited the nation's number nine rusher Lance Dunbar to just 40 yards and 2.7 yards per carry.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Jeremy Kellem (Middle Tennessee, Sr., DB)

Kellem blocked his second blocked punt in as many weeks when he rejected the first FIU attempt of the second quarter to set up the second Middle Tennessee touchdown of the first quarter. The Blue Raiders needed only 44 yards on the short field for the score. He now has four blocks in his career, tying the school record. Kellem added an interception defensively, one of three on the day for the Blue Raider defense.
