New Orleans Sweeps Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors

NEW ORLEANS -New Orleans' Ben Solari, along with Johnny DeMaine won the male's honors this week for swimming and diving. New Orleans' Haydn Maclean won the female swimmer of the week as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

MALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK   

Ben Solari, New Orleans- Sophomore

Won the 200 breast in dual meet against LSU with a season-best time of 2:06.75. Was only UNO swimmer to win an individual meet race.

FEMALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

Haydn Maclean, New Orleans -Freshman

Freshman clocked a season-best 5:07.27 in the 500 free and was part of UNO Lakefront Aquatic Center record-setting 200 freestyle relay (1:37.21) against LSU on Friday.

MALE DIVER OF THE WEEK      

Johnny DeMaine, New Orleans- Sophomore

Scored 281.40 to set a new UNO mark in the 1-meter and placed second in the 3-meter (288.90) in dual meet with LSU on Friday. This is DeMaine's second time winning the award.
