NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana-Lafayette, Troy and New Orleans learned their NCAA Baseball Tournament fate on Monday as the 64-team field was announced today.

Louisiana-Lafayette, the 2007 Sun Belt regular season champions, will be the No. 2 seed in the College Station Regional.  The Ragin’ Cajuns will face off against No. 3 seed Ohio State in their first game.

New Orleans, the 2007 Sun Belt Tournament Champions, will be the No. 4 seed in the Wichita Regional.  The Privateers will play top seeded Wichita State in their first match up.

The Troy Trojans also earned an at-large bid Monday and will head to the Oxford Regional where they will play No. 2 seed Southern Mississippi.

The Sun Belt has sent multiple teams to the NCAA Baseball tournament each year since 1988.  The 19-year streak of having two or more teams reach NCAA play is matched by only four other conferences (ACC, Big West, SEC, Pac-10).
