Cajuns, Blue Raiders Ready for Sun Belt Network Game of the Week

NEW ORLEANS - Louisiana-Lafayette (5-4/3-2 SBC) and Middle Tennessee (6-3/4-1 SBC) face off this week on the Sun Belt Network as kickoff is set for 3:15 p.m. (CT) at Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The Ragin' Cajuns are looking for their sixth win of the season while the Blue Raiders seek their seventh.
The meeting will be the 11th time the teams have matched up with ULL leading 6-4. The Ragin' Cajuns have won five of the past six and have won the last three at Floyd Stadium.
Led by quarterback Dwight Dasher, who ranks sixth nationally in total offense (303.6), Middle Tennessee looks to win their fourth straight conference game. Dasher who is a double-threat on offensive leads the Blue Raiders in passing and in rushing. Dasher has thrown for 2,029 yards and 13 touchdowns and has compiled nine more touchdowns and 703 yards on the ground. Only six players in the history of college football have thrown for 2,000 yards and rushed for 1,000 yards in a single season including Texas' Vince Young (2005) and Missouri's Brad Smith (2002,2005).
Middle Tennessee (6-3, 4-1) has won three consecutive games for the second time this season. After an early defeat at Clemson, the Blue Raider won the next three games including a big road win at Maryland. They then fell to conference foe Troy and the SEC's Mississippi State before winning their past three conference games outscoring their Sun Belt opponents 137-65.
The Cajuns are coming off a huge road win over Red Wolves of Arkansas State which ended a two-game losing streak. ULL Quarterback Chris Masson will attempt for his fifth 200-plus passing game against the Blue Raider defense. At Arkansas State, Masson was 28-of-40 (70%) for 229 yards. During the current stretch of 200-plus yards passing, Masson has gone 85-of-131 (65%) for 896 yards and four TDs.
This week's game will be broadcast on the Sun Belt Network. Sun Belt Network games are produced and distributed by CSS and CST and the two networks combine to serve nearly 10 million households in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.
