MT’s Dwight Dasher was named Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Offensive Player of the Week

Dwight Dasher (Middle Tennessee, Jr., QB)
Dasher sparked the second half scoring surge against Louisiana, highlighting the afternoon by setting the single-season total offense school record after accumulating 308 Saturday. He now has 3,040 yards through the 10 games, 178 yards past the previous mark set by Clint Marks in 2004 and still has two regular-season games to play. Dasher completed the game by hitting 16-of-25 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns, his seventh 200-yard game of the season and ninth of his career. On the first play from scrimmage in the second half, Dasher bolted for 46 yards before finding a wide-open receiver on the next play for a 19-yard touchdown pass. By throwing for two scores, Dasher increased his season tally to 15, six shy of the single-season school standard. He gained 89 yards on the ground, averaging 5.2 per rush. Dasher also improved to 11-4 as the starting quarterback and set a junior class passing record with 2,248 yards.

Defense Player of the Week

Cardia Jackson (ULM, Sr., LB)

ULM senior linebacker Cardia Jackson became the second Warhawk in as many weeks to set an all-time Sun Belt Conference record. Jackson's season-high 15 tackles in ULM's victory over Western Kentucky pushed his career total to a Sun Belt record 365. He has now recorded double-digit tackles in five of ULM's last six games and ranks 14th in the nation in tackles per game (10.1). Among all active players in the NCAA, Jackson ranks second in career solo tackles and third in total tackles. The Warhawks victory over WKU made them bowl eligible for the second time in three seasons after ULM had never been bowl eligible in the school's D-1 history.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Casey Tinius (WKU, So., K)
WKU sophomore kicker Casey Tinius tied a school record with four field goals last week at Louisiana-Monroe.  Tinius was good from 43, 41, 35 and 39 - hitting all four field goals on consecutive drives in the second quarter to give the Hilltoppers a halftime lead.  The 43-yard kick also tied a career long.
