Minjarez collected four doubles in five games, with a homer and five RBI during UTA's 3-2 week. He went 3-for-4 in UTA's 4-3 win over No. 23 Sam Houston State and had six hits in three games in the series with Arkansas State, including a three-hit game in the finale. He added a game-tying homer in the middle game of the series with A-State.

Earned a win (as a starter) and a save (in relief). Did not walk a batter in 8.1 innings. Save secured DH sweep at Troy ... Got 1st start of the season at Wake Forest and earned the win ... Only worked 4.1 innings, but left due to pitch count with an 8-0 lead ... Hit 1st batter of the 5th and allowed single before getting an out and exiting (relief pitcher allowed RBI double for run) ... At Troy, worked the final four innings, allowing 2 hits with no walks and five K's ... Entered with bases loaded and no outs in the 5th ... The 3 runners he inherited scored (on fielder's choice and double) The 1st inherited runners to score on him this season ... Working with a 1-run lead after allowing the double, he struck out next two and would retire 12 of his last 14 ... Is 4-0 with 3 saves in 11 games (30.2 innings) this season. Has a 1.17 ERA with 6 BB and 29 K's with .189 opp BA.
